Co-ordination Committee demands the government to bring the perpetrators to justice
The Founder and Leader of Muttaheda Quami Movement (MQM), Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed profound grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of Abdul Hakim, a worker of the New Karachi Town Unit of the MQM Labour Division. He offered condolences to the grief-stricken family and prayed Allah to give them patience and courage to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed for the divine forgiveness and eternal peace of the departed soul of Abdul Hakim.

The 24th anniversary of the martyrs of the tragedies of 30th September and 1st October was observed by the MQM on Sunday with reverence and glowing tributes were paid to the martyrs. The main gathering was held in Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad in which fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran was offered for the blessings of the souls of the martyrs.
Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani, Nasrin Jalil, ministers, Senators, MNAs, MPAs and office-bearers of different wings of the MQM, workers of units and sectors and relatives of the martyrs were also present on the occasion.

Expressing grave concerns on the increasing incidents of sectarian killings and targeted killings, the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has condemned the brutal killings of the MQM workers, sympathizers and several citizens. It said that the people belonging to the Shia and Sunni schools of thought had been killed in the city for the past few days but there had been a surge in these incidents for the last two days. It said that the MQM workers were also being targeted in different parts of the city and five MQM workers, and sympathizers had fallen victim during the last two days alone.

The PPP did not fulfill its promises despite repeated assurances
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has given a three days ultimatum to the Pakistan People Party for accepting the legitimate demands of the MQM. The decision has been taken in a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement was held today in London and Pakistan. It has been decided in the meeting that the MQM would come out of the government and sit on the opposition benches if the legitimate demands were not accepted within three days.
It was noted in the meeting that the MQM had always given full support to the PPP and President Asif Zardari for the continuation and promotion of democracy in the country but the PPP did not accept the legitimate demands of the MQM that chiefly related to public welfare although repeated assurances were given by the PPP.  News Report
