The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the public referendum announced by the MQM would be an important step in the direction of changing the destiny of country and bracing it for facing challenges in the world. He asked the people to take active part in the referendum and express their opinions. He said this while talking to the members of the Co-ordination Committee at Nine Zero.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the suicide blast in the Dagar area of Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province resulting in the death of anti-Taliban militia leader Fateh Khan and his guards. He called it a cowardly act of terrorism and expressed grief on the killings of Fateh Khan and his guards in the suicide attack.

Collection of hides in a large number will help in widening the scope of welfare activities of the KKF The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his gratitude to people for donating hides of sacrificial animals to the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation in a record number. He said that it would help in widening the scope of welfare activities of the KKF manifold. Mr Hussain said that the public had endorsed the ideology of the MQM by donating hides to the KKF in a large number. He added that the KKF was the only welfare organization that was being run purely on donations and contributions from the public, and it was serving the needy people without any discrimination.
