MQM & JDC agree to undertake welfare projects jointly

The MQM chief was having telephonic conversation with a former Sindh MPA from Nawabshah and a prominent PPP leader, Inayat Hussain Rind after he, along with his followers, joined MQM during a visit to his Azizabad residence, popularly known as `Nine Zero’.

It has demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan to take notice of harassing the MQM candidates by local authorities and ensure that elections are free, fair and transparent by stopping strong-arm tactics.

Altaf asks for journalists’ safety

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain demanded on Friday that special measures be taken to protect life and property of journalists across the country.
Addressing a crowded news conference by phone at Azizabad’s Lal Qila ground, Mr Hussain said that need of the hour was to protect life and property of journalists as a number of them had already lost their lives while performing their professional duties.
