Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the brutal killing of All-Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation’s (APMSO) Sector B’s former Sector Organiser and a member of the MQM Literature Committee, Syed Sheraz Afsar.
Paying tributes to Sheraz for his organizational services, the MQM chief said that the deceased, who was amongst the senior-most workers of the party, always remained steadfast and continued to render his services for the promotion of the Movement’s mission.
In a condolence message, he prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, MQM Coordination Committee has strongly condemned the killing of Sheeraz, saying that terrorist elements under a well-thought out conspiracy were targeting MQM workers, office-bearers and its sympathisers.
Terming the incident an `act of cowardice’, the Coordination Committee demanded of Sindh governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad, caretaker chief minister (Retd) Justice Zahid Kurban Alavi to take notice of the incident and give exemplary punishment to the culprits involved in the killing of the MQM worker.
The Committee also prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
