Militancy and extremism are aimed at weakening Pakistan
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the brutal killing and beheading of six army personnel that were kidnapped from Bajaur Agency by the militants. Mr Hussain said that militancy and extremism were aimed at destabilizing Pakistan. The militants had become so much emboldened that they had started targeting and beheading the personnel of the armed forced besides killing innocent people belonging to different religious schools of thought.

The Co-ordination Committee terms the murders a part of the conspiracy to fuel sectarian violence
The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has deplored the killings of the Chairman of the Islamic Research Centre Trust Mukhtar Azmi and his son Muhammad Baqar Azmi and has termed the killings a part of the conspiracy to fuel sectarian violence and bloodshed. It warned that the killings of innocent Muslims on sectarian grounds were a conspiracy against the existence and security of the country. It called upon the religious scholars to frustrate this conspiracy by showing exemplary unity.

The Co-ordination Committee of the MQM has expressed its grief and sorrow on the deaths of 17 people in Muzaffarabad due to torrential rains, lightening, and flash floods. It regretted at the loss of lives due to absence of precautionary measures by the local administration and not starting relief activities on time soon after heavy rains. It sympathized with the bereaved families of the people washed away in the floods and called for urgent steps to bring relief and succour to the people affected by the rains.
