A delegation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), headed by Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar called on PTI leaders Mr Makhdoom Jawed Hashmi and Mr Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the Lahore Cantt office of the party. Current situation prevailing in the country, internal and external threats, worsening energy crisis and precarious Balochistan situation were discussed in the meeting.

Political and religious leaders, intellectuals, members of the business community, journalists and other people affiliated with the print and electronic media, important social personalities and people hailing from different other walks of life would attend the Iftar Dinner. The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed its deep sense of grief and sorrow over the deaths of several persons in an explosion in a firecracker godown in the densely populated area of Hussain Agahi Chowk in Multan. The Co-ordination Committee said that the presence of a firecracker godown in the densely populated area was a criminal negligence on the part of the local administration. It was because of the dereliction of duty of the administration that innocent people died and got injured in the explosion.
