MQM condemns attack on the camp of security forces in Gujrat

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the attack on the camp of the security forces near River Chenab in Gujrat resulting in the death of seven soldiers. Expressing grief and sorrow on the death of soldiers the committee termed it an attack on the national integrity. It said that the terrorists were working on a vicious conspiracy to make Pakistan unstable.

A delegation of the All-India Secular Forum visited Khursheed Begum Secretariat of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in Azizabad. The delegation was headed by the noted human rights activist and general secretary of the forum Prof Ram Puniyani. The delegation met deputy convener of the Co-ordination Committee Senator Mrs Nasrin Jalil. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Kunwar Khalid Yunus and Mr Wasay Jalil were also present on the occasion.Executive Director of the Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research Mr Karamat Ali, Secretary Managing Board Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research Mr MB Kutti, president of Pakistan-India Forum Mr Iqbal Butt, and Co-ordinator Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Mr Shamsuddin also accompanied with the delegation.

Sweden’s ambassador to Pakistan, Mr Lars Hjalmar Wide, on Wednesday, visited the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s founder and leader Altaf Hussain’s Azizabad residence `90’ and met the MQM Coordination Committee members Kunwar Naveed Jameel, Kanwar Khalid Younus and Wasey Jalil. The envoy and the Coordination Committee members during their meeting discussed the country’s political, socio-economic and other matters of mutual interest.
