The Co-ordination Committee of the MQM has expressed its grief and sorrow on the deaths of 17 people in Muzaffarabad due to torrential rains, lightening, and flash floods. It regretted at the loss of lives due to absence of precautionary measures by the local administration and not starting relief activities on time soon after heavy rains. It sympathized with the bereaved families of the people washed away in the floods and called for urgent steps to bring relief and succour to the people affected by the rains.
The Deputy Convener of MQM’s Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the MQM is doing practical efforts to rid, the business community of Karachi, of the extortion and parchi mafia. He was addressing the meeting of the business community including manufacturers and traders. The meeting was organized by the MQM in a local hotel.
