Altaf Hussain prays for the health of MNA Kishwar Zehra

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has prayed for the success of the surgical operation of MNA Ms Kishwar Zehra, who is in-charge of the Women Wing of the MQM. He prayed for her complete recovery and good health after the operation. He also appealed to the people to offer special prayers for the success of the operation of Ms Zehra, who would undergo a critical surgical procedure in a local hospital in Karachi on 18th December.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the car explosion in a market in Jamrud Town of Khyber Agency. He expressed his grief and sorrow on the killing and wounding of several persons in the deadly blast. He said that bomb blasts and other incidents of terrorism are aimed at weakening the country and creating instability. He said that the terrorists would not be able to break the resolve of the armed forces, security forces, law-enforcing agencies and the general public against terrorism.

Message on the occasion of the anniversary of the Dhaka Fall on 16th December The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Dhaka fall occurred because the mandate of the Bengali people was not accepted. The forces occupying power and supporting the status quo allowed the country to break into two, but they refused to accept the legitimate rights of the Bengali people. He said that 16th December is the Blackest Day in the history of the country which can never be forgotten.

A joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) was held in London and Pakistan today in order to discuss the contempt of court notice issued to the MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain by the Supreme Court. The meeting unanimously agreed that the contempt notice against Mr Hussain is against the norms of justice as the comments made by the honourable judge of a particular bench of the Supreme Court on 28th November calling for new delimitations in Karachi so that no single party had a monopoly were unconstitutional, illegal, undemocratic, and an affront to the mandate of the people.

Such cowardly acts are bringing a bad name to the country The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed grief and sorrow on the death of Swedish Social Worker Birgitta Alemby who was shot by armed terrorists in Lahore a few days ago. It condemned the cowardly acts of targeting volunteers of NGOs in the country and said that such acts are bringing a bad name to the country in the world. It demanded President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take notice of the killing of the Swedish women who was running orphanages in Lahore. The committee urged upon them to bring the perpetrators to justice.
