Enemies of Sindh are conspiring to ruin peace of the province: Altaf Hussain

Conversation with the joint emergency meeting of the Co-ordination Committee

The Founder and Leader of the MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the forces of evil and elements working on the payroll of hidden hands are busy in ruining the peace of Sindh but the MQM and the PPP would frustrate the conspiracies of the enemies of peace by their unity. We did not bow down in the past and we would not be browbeaten even today.
Mr Hussain warned the MQM workers throughout the country, particularly in Sindh, to remain physically and mentally alert for meeting the challenges of these conspirators. He was addressing a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan.
Mr Hussain said that the elements raising a hue and cry on the newly promulgated local government system were, in fact, paid workers of the hidden hands, and they were busy in weaving conspiracies to spoil the atmosphere of peace, tranquillity and brotherhood. He said that the office-bearers and workers of the MQM and the PPP would foil the conspiracies of these enemies of peace with their unity.
Mr Hussain said that every child in Pakistan knows that the ANP and its leaders are responsible for the bloodshed of its own public in order to please their foreign masters in return for monetary benefits. These elements and their party the ANP are advocating the system that was introduced in the subcontinent by the British in order to prolong their grip on power.
Mr Hussain said that the local government system was working in all the civilized countries of the world and opposing this system betrays the feudal mentality that was the major hindrance in dispensation of justice to the poor at their doorstep. The local bodies system is the need of the hour and it reflects the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.
Referring to the strike called by the Sindhi nationalists, Mr Hussain said that the haq parast people could not be cowed down in the past by such threats and they would not be intimidated in future as well.
Mr Hussain asked the MQM workers, office-bearers and sympathizers to remain mentally and physically alert in case the forces of evil tried to create a law and order situation. He asked the MQM workers in all zones and office-bearers and sympathizers to show determination and courage and fight the conspiracies of the enemies of the peace.
Mr Hussain appealed to the haq parast women, youths, elders, students, traders, industrialists, workers, labourers, working people, farmers and peasants and people belonging to all the spheres of life to demonstrate exemplary unity and solidarity for frustrating the conspiracies of the enemies of Sindh for destroying peace.
