MQM WANTS TO RID KARACHI BUSINESS COMMUNITY OF EXTORTION MAFIA: FAROOQ SATTAR

WORSENING LAW AND ORDER CONDITION OF KARACHI IS THE SIGN OF FAILURE OF THE GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS COMMUNITY SPEAKS OUT IN MQM HELD MEETING

 

Karachi: 3rd September 2012

The Deputy Convener of MQM’s Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the MQM is doing practical efforts to rid, the business community of Karachi, of the extortion and parchi mafia. He was addressing the meeting of the business community including manufacturers and traders. The meeting was organized by the MQM in a local hotel.

Dr Sattar said that the Leader of the MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has promised to the business community to turn the Karachi into a peaceful city.

Earlier, the representatives of the business community of Karachi expressed grave concern on the increasing activities of criminals, incidents of kidnapping for ransom, demanding extortion. They also suggested policies to control the crimes and announced the holding a business convention for this purpose.

Member of MQM’s Co-ordination Committee Raza Haroon said that Mr Hussain was making tireless efforts to keep the unity of the business community intact and peace stable in Karachi.

Noted industrialists S M Muneer, Ateeq Meer, Siraj Qasim Teli, Shakeel Ahmed, Zubari Motiwala, Chairman KATI Ehtesham, President of KCCI Mian Abrar, members of Association SITE super highway Irfan Kotal, representative of SITE super highway Jamshed Chandi wala, Mian Zahid, Dr Arshad Vohra, Irafn Moti, Jmail Paracha and many others attended the meeting.

Noted industrialist Siraj Qasim Teli, SM Munir and Ateeq Mir also spoke on the occasion and said that the business community must become united on the issues that had been pointed out by Mr Hussain 5on different occasions. They termed the worsening law and order situation in Karachi as failure of the government.
