We demand Sindh as separate,
independent and sovereign state: Altaf Hussain

Founder leader of Muttahida Quami
Movement (MQM), Mr Altaf Hussain categorically demanded Sindh as separate,
independent and sovereign state. He was addressing to the public on the 42nd
foundation day of APMSO (All Pakistan Muttahida Quami Movement). His address
was televised live through social media across the world including Pakistan. He
referred in details extra judicial killings, enforced disappearances and other
human rights violations, injustices and state brutalities against Mohajirs,
Sindhis, Baluchs and other oppressed nations.
Mr Hussain said that the people of
Sindh demand to the Secretary General of the United Nations that people of
Sindh want peaceful separation of Sindh from Pakistan, We want to liberate
Sindh. He further said that Sindh province has been occupied by Punjabi Army,
we want to get rid of Punjabi Army, we want Sindh as an independent and
sovereign state in the map of the world, we want Sindhu Desh, we want justice.
Mr Hussain said that time has come to
develop strong bond between Sindhis and Urdu speaking Sindhis (Mohajirs) for
joint peaceful struggle for the liberation of Sindh. He called Sindhis and
Mohajirs specially youngsters to come forward for the liberation of Sindh
motherland and organise joint peaceful rallies
and demonstrations for the independence of Sindh.
Mr. Hussain said that we are being
facing injustices and victimisation by the state who treat us as second grade
citizens because they do not consider or recognise us as Pakistani. He said
that if the Pakistan Army and other state institution didn’t consider us
Pakistanis therefore today, we announce
that we don’t want to live with Pakistan, we want our due rights, honour and
dignity. He said that now the people of Sindh would peacefully struggle for
Sindhudesh.
Mr Hussain said that constitution of
Sindhudesh would be a constitution of a welfare state. Religion would be a
personal matter of citizen, nobody would be allowed to victimise or subjugate
to anybody on the basis of religion, and women would have equal rights in all
walks of life.
Mr Hussain said, if people of Sindh especially
youngsters consider him as their leader then they should obey him and his
instruction. Sindhis and Mohajirs both are the sons of Sindh. Time is passing
away very fast. Strive in practically but do not let the sanctity of Sindh
motherland be sacrificed, no matter how many lives are lost.
