Nadeem Nusrat demands release of Farooq Durrani

LONDON, 29-04-2016:
The Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement Nadeem Nusrat demanded the federal and provincial governments to immediately recover Farooq Durrani – newly-elected councilor and member zonal committee Mirpurkhas - from the forceful disappearance after 22nd April arrest by the law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

In a statement issued from London Secretariat, Nadeem Nusrat said that Durrani was one of the most senior workers of MQM in Mirpurkhas and had no criminal record whatsoever. He said that the LEAs arrested him at a raid on his house and forced him disappeared for last week or so, while neither his family nor party was informed regarding his whereabouts.

He said that his family and other more than hundred disappeared workers’ families having serious concerns over their loved ones and said that to stop violating the Constitution and rights of the people. He also demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately order to release MQM’s innocent worker Farooq Durrani and even if the LEAs had any evidence against him should produce him before the court and let it decided right and wrong.
