The government of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in Sindh is intentionally trying to stir up animosity between the local people of Sindh, which includes both Sindhis and Muhajirs. To achieve this, it is known that a large sum of money has been given to specific journalists and YouTubers, telling them to share as much negativity as they can about Altaf Hussain, the Muhajir community, and MQM in their videos and podcasts. They have been urged to make claims, promote animosity, and stir up anger in order to reignite the rivalry between Sindhis and Muhajirs, which could result in violence and bloodshed in Sindh. This is the same approach that the PPP is said to have used when it was in power before, especially during the military action against MQM on June 19, 1992 which aimed to get rid of the party. He also states that the administration of the late Benazir Bhutto carried on this practice, in which thousands of MQM supporters were reportedly killed without trial, many others were taken and put in jail, hundreds went missing, and whole areas were blocked off and faced harsh treatment. He claims that the present PPP government is following the same trend by detaining innocent MQM members, filing untrue cases against them, and encouraging bias and unfair treatment rather than giving urban citizens their rights. He mentions that anytime MQM speaks up against these supposed wrongs, the PPP government calls it spreading anger and dividing people. Still, he points out that the PPP’s own past is filled with unfair treatment, denial of rights, and oppression towards the people living in the urban regions of Sindh. He also says that even those living in the countryside of Sindh have lost faith in the PPP, and that the party is trying once more to distract voters by using the "Sindh Card."
