Contrary to reports circulating in the Pakistani media, we confirm that a hearing that took place today in a West London Magistrates Court was in respect of the civil case of cash seized from premises in London. No MQM personnel had been summoned to this hearing, nor did any of them seek a delay in appearance.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee (CC) has said that an interview of the MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain that was recorded by a local television was restricted on directions of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), which has imposed an unlawful ban on telecast of the recorded interview.

Federal Minister for Finance and senior PML (N) leader Ishhaq Dar, JUI (F) Leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah telephoned Dr Farooq Sattar and urged him to review the decision of calling off dialogues on the issue of resignations of MQM members.
Talking to these leaders, Dr Sattar expressed strong reservations on the attitude of the prime minister during his arrival in Karachi.

Talking to reporters at Nine Zero, MQM's headquarters, the senior Rabita Committee member said while Nawaz Sharif was visiting Karachi MQM was gifted with " more arrest of workers".
