MQM Supremo aggrieved on Omar Sharif's death; pays rich tribute to the departed soul of the world acclaimed Urdu comedian

 

"Omar Sharif had showcased his talents all over the world - He will live in our hearts - He was associated with MQM- He hosted many variety shows - He was King of Urdu theatre"

 

LONDON. October 2: Muttahida Quami Movement's (MQM) Supremo Altaf Hussain has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of the emperor of humour and stage, prominent film actor Omar Sharif.

 

In his statement, paying homage to Omar Sharif, Hussain said that Sharif was an artist who created his own world, gave a new dimension to the stage through his memorable comedy dramas and revived the theatre all over the world.

 

Hussain said that Sharif showed his talents all over the world through the artistic talent that nature had bestowed on him. Sharif, through his comedy dramas and art, made people laugh for decades and entertained them. He served the people by spreading laughter among the people suffering from sorrows, griefs, worries and sadness.

 

Hussain said that not only Pakistan and India but all over the world where Urdu lovers live, are all fans of him.

 

Today, they are shocked and saddened by his demise.

 

He said that the demise of Sharif is a great and irreparable loss and the gap his death created could not be filled.

 

He further said that some comedians may come forward in future but no one will be able to take his place.

 

Sharif was really an emperor of humour; his name will live on.

 

Hussain said that Sharif was not only an artist but also a good man, he had a passion of working for the welfare of the people.  It was his passion for public service that brought him closer to MQM.

 

MQM also made him a provincial advisor and he also served the people a lot as a provincial advisor.

 

The MQM Supremo said that he is personally saddened by the demise of Sharif.

 

"My comrades, sympathizers around the world and I myself express our heartfelt condolences to the aggrieved family."

 

He prayed for the elevated abode in heaven for the departed soul.
