Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that he was extremely sorrowful on the indictment of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in the contempt of court case. Commenting on the situation developing in the country Mr Hussain said, “I am very disappointed at what has happened today.” Mr Hussain said that he had been saying continually that the institutions must show respect and dignity for each other and avoid confrontation under all conditions. Now that the prime minister has been formally indicted, the government should show deference to the court proceeding by displaying patience and firmness.
