A meeting of the Manifesto Committee of the MQM was held on Sunday in Khursheed Begum Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by deputy convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar. The meeting took stock of the implementation on the 2008 manifesto of the MQM. A subcommittee was formed for the preparation of the 2012 manifesto.
The meeting was attended by members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Raza Haroon, Mr Kunwar Naveed Jamil, Mr Shahid Latif, and Mr Wasay Jalil, deputy parliamentary leader of the MQM in the National Assembly Mr Haider Abbas Rizvi and provincial minister Syed Sardar Ahmed.
It was decided that the recommendations would be invited from different wings of the MQM for the preparation of the new manifesto. It was also agreed in the meeting that suggestions from people belonging to different spheres of life would also be incorporated in the manifesto.
