MQM JALSA IN HYDERABAD WOULD BE REVERBERATED IN THE CORRIDORS OF POWER IN ISLAMABAD

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that end of the oppressive feudal and chieftain system near, and the 28thfounding day would prove to be the last nail in the coffin. He said this while talking to the workers busy in making preparation for the programme in Al-Mustafa Ground, Hyderabad.

Mr Hussain said that the immense sacrifices rendered by the workers and people of Hyderabad for the movement would never be forgotten. The workers chanted slogans to express their joy and enthusiasm.

Mr Hussain said that the zeal and energy being shown by the people belonging to the poor and middle classes in Hyderabad and the adjoining towns and villages was highly promising. He hoped that the MQM candidates would get significant victory in the coming elections.

Mr Hussain said that the historic gathering on the occasion of the founding day of the MQM would have its reverberations in the corridors of power in Islamabad. The tyranny of the feudal lords would end soon.

Mr Hussain said that humanity was the common factor transcending the barriers of religion, and it was the main reason that a large number of people belonging to different faiths were joining the MQM.

Mr Hussain praised the workers busy in work and particularly appreciated the spirit of the women workers. He advised the workers to maintain exemplary discipline and take particular care of mothers and sisters.

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced to hold a protest day throughout Sindh on Saturday against the partisan and autocratic attitude of the PPP MPAs in the Sindh Assembly. The joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM in Pakistan and London observed that the MQM MPAs were protesting against the extortion mafia in support of the beleaguered business community of Karachi. The PPP MPAs not only not gave any assurance to take legal action against the extortion mafia for ridding the business community, but they switched off the mikes of the MQM members and did not allow them to speak.The Co-ordination Committee has appealed to the businessmen, industrialists, shopkeepers, traders, transporters and members of the public to take part in the peaceful protest being held by the MQM on Saturday. Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmakers protested inside the Sindh Assembly while a large number of it's workers, supporters and traders protested outside against extortion and Parchi Mafia.The MQM legislators chanted slogans against extortion inside the provincial. The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced that the MQM would boycott the address of President Asif Ali Zardari to the joint session of the parliament. A meeting of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM was held in London and Pakistan simultaneously to deliberate on the situation arising after the protest of the MQM against collection of extortion money from the business community in Karachi.The meeting noted that no action was taken by the federal and the provincial against the extortion mafia in Karachi in spite of the peaceful protests of the MQM in the National Assembly and the Sindh Assembly. Only non-serious statements were made, and President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Gillani had not intervened in this regard.Keeping in view the apathetic attitude of the government, the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM has decided to boycott the address of President Zardari to the joint sitting of the parliament.The Co-ordination Committee has also decided that the MQM will continue to make peaceful protests at every forum as long as practical were taken to crush the hydra of extortion mafia operating in the city.The Co-ordination Committee held out firm assurances to the business community of Karachi that the MQM would not abandon them under any condition and would support them in every possible manner to protect their rights...Urdu News

He expressed his dismay over the singular failure of the police, rangers and other law-enforcing agencies in controlling the crimes in the city. Mr Hussain said that, on the one hand, citizens were beleaguered by hardened criminals involved in bank robberies, kidnappings, and street crimes and on the other hand, the business community was being forced to pay huge sums as extortion money. MQM has announced a peaceful protest against waves of extortions, kidnapping for ransom and other street crimes in Karachi this was announced the MQM Central Coordination Committee of Pakistan and London after its joint meeting at Thursday night. after the meeting, in a statement Coordination Committee in the strongest of words warned unruly feudal lords under whose aegis the extortionists were thriving. They said MQM believed in peaceful co-existence, which they said should not be mistaken for cowardice. The leadership also said that they were only held back by their Quaid Altaf Hussain, who has always preached peace otherwise these feudal lords would have had it. MQM Coordination Committee further said that most of the oppressed rural population of Sindh was on their side, the party leadership urged Altaf Hussain to let them give those overlords a taste of their own medicine.

He expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of the senior police officer and injuries to many other police personnel.
