Dear Madam/Sir,
I would like to bring into your attention the grave human rights violations being carried out in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. The military, ISI, para-military Rangers in collaboration with provincial government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are blatantly violating fundamental human rights of people of Sindh. Arbitrary arrests, torture, enforced disappearances and extra-judicial executions of innocent Urdu and Sindhi speaking political workers has become a routine in Sindh. In last few weeks hundreds of innocent Urdu and Sindhi speaking political workers have been abducted by para-military Rangers and ISI, not presented before any court of law and their whereabouts are still not known to their family members.
To protest against enforced disappearances, the families of missing persons from all over the Sindh had decided to protest at Karachi Press Club on Saturday 27 June 2020. But before they gathered and started their demonstration at
Karachi Press Club the personnel of ISI, para-military Rangers and police started indiscriminate baton charge and unlawfully arrested dozens of peaceful protestors including women and children.
The corrupt and fascist military establishment has made Pakistan a country where peaceful exercise of the right to freedom of speech and assembly are considered as heinous crime.
I appeal you to use your good offices to urge government of Pakistan to immediately release all political workers including the family members of missing persons taken into custody today.
I also appeal to all peace loving and democratic people to raise their voice against human rights violations in Pakistan particularly province of Sindh.
The true sons and daughters of motherland (Sindhudesh) of Sindh including myself are firmly committed to continue our peaceful struggle until last breath for the freedom of our motherland from the illegal occupation of Pakistan Army.
