MQM Coordination Committee strongly condemned the arbitrary arrest of MQM Qasba Unit-125 worker Asif Aftab’s brothers Saqib Aftab and Asim Aftab in an illegal raid at his home.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that a police mobile number SP-2737 raided at Asif Aftab’s house and due to his absence, the police personnel illegally arrested his two brothers. It said that later the police called his home and told the family to send Asif Aftab to get his brothers released from their custody.
The Coordination Committee expressed its grave concerns over the suspicious arrest of party workers by the police. It demanded President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice against the arbitrary arrest of the brothers of MQM worker Asif Aftab and should order police to immediately release both the innocent detainees.
