MQM’s Rabitta Committee has strongly condemned the response of Jamaat-e-Islami to ISPR’s statement. Jamaat Islami has termed it a political statement.
In a statement they said that the Jamaat should have extended an apology for pronouncing a killer of thousands of Pakistanis, officers and soldiers of Pak Army as a martyr by its chief , who had tried to belittle the sacrifices and accomplishment of our soldiers by his statement. He should have asked for forgiveness from the nation. However, they have shamelessly termed the ISPR Press release a political statement.

Mr. Hussain expressed these views while addressing the Rabita Committee at the Nine Zero. He added that MQM is a movement which has emanated from the middle class and the poor. It believes in a meritocratic system from its inception.
