Field Marshal Asim Munir needs to go to Karachi and give instructions to catch the people who are behind the killing of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali.
An appeal from MQM Supremo, Altaf Hussain
...............................
I appeal to the Field Marshal Asim Munir, to pay attention to the horrible killing of a young man from Karachi, Shaheed Mir Raza Ali, and to command the capture of the cruel criminals and make sure they face justice. Killing someone’s son in such a brutal way, breaking a mother’s heart and taking away a father’s help, is a terrible and savage act that cannot be condemned enough.
I request Field Marshal Asim Munir to go to the residence of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali, whose family has lost their source of happiness, to meet with the mourning family face-to-face, understand everything about this terrible murder, and join them in their sorrow.
If he cannot visit the family himself because he is very busy, he should delegate a reliable and powerful representative to convey his sympathies on his behalf, gather information about the event from the grieving family, and direct the appropriate government and administrative officials to capture the murderers.
It is also shameful that the security provided by the police to Shaheed Mir Raza Ali’s family has been withdrawn and that they are being harassed. Security must be provided to them immediately.
The efforts made by the Sindh government and police to shift the focus of the inquiry into the vicious killing of Shaheed Mir Raza and to present the murder as a case of suicide are also disgraceful.
In the initial MLO report, the violent death was labeled a suicide without any thorough investigation being done. Police officials kept insisting that it was a suicide, not a murder. Even now, rather than capturing the murderers, different false narratives are being created to confuse the public.
I repeat that if the person who labeled this obvious murder as a suicide and wrote a fake MLO report is taken into custody, the actual murderers will be caught. Otherwise, grant me the power, and we will demonstrate how to find the killers.
I want to express my deep gratitude and respect for Gen Z, who have been organizing calm protests against the cruel killing of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali and are consistently showing their support for justice and the capture of those responsible for his death.
I urge the young people of Gen Z that if the government does not ensure safety for Shaheed Mir Raza's family, they should step up and volunteer to protect his grieving family.
I also call on everyone to take action in any way they can to support the quest for justice for Shaheed Mir Raza's family and to show their complete support, so that no other innocent young individual has to face such terrible violence.
Altaf Hussain.
