We say that we care for Pakistan, yet we have overlooked the death anniversary of the nation's founder, Quaid-e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the person who established Pakistan. It is crucial for leaders to acknowledge this significant date and make the public aware of it.
They ought to have informed everyone that the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, died on September 11, 1948, and that today is the 78th anniversary of his passing.
On this day, gatherings for prayer should have been set up to pay respects to the deceased Founder of Pakistan. Additionally, special shows should have been aired to showcase key parts of Quaid-e Azam's life and to inform the youth about his efforts.
But sadly, there wasn't a single program aired today by any television station in the country to remember the death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. His death anniversary didn’t even get a mention.
It is very unfortunate that every year we recognize 6 September, yet we overlook 11 September. Is 6 September considered more significant than the day linked to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam?
Who is going to teach the younger people, like Gen Z and students, about Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the story of Pakistan?
Altaf Hussain.
