I state clearly that I am not against to the existence of the Army in the country, nor to its ranks from soldiers up to generals. I am only opposed to army generals or officers taking part in politics. This is against the oath they take at their passing-out parade, when they swear before God. They should not break that oath and should honor their pledge. #LiftBanOnAltafHussain My struggle is for #Pakistan to have a government of genuine, elected leaders who are honest. The hereditary political system should end, and the feudal and landlord-based system should also be abolished. Article 6 of Pakistan’s constitution has become meaningless, so a new law should be made under which no army general would even dare — let alone dismiss an elected prime minister — to speak to one disrespectfully or use a humiliating tone in front of them. The people of Pakistan will have to create such a law, and for that they will have to unite and struggle together. There is no doubt that Imran Khan was brought into politics by the establishment. It was the establishment that brought people into his party, and it was the establishment that formed his government in 2018. But God can guide people at any time and change their thinking.
