Altaf Hussain condemns blast in Choglia area of Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Terrorists are trying to fuel the fire of sectarianism in order to achieve their nefarious designs
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the bomb blast near a Muharram procession in Choglia area of Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He expressed his grief and sorrow on the killing and injuring of several people in the blast.
In a statement, Mr Hussain said that the savage terrorists behind attacks on the mourning processions are trying to drive a wedge between the followers of different sects. He said that the terrorists are trying to fuel the fire of sectarianism in order to create instability in the country.
Mr Hussain said that Muharram is a sacred month and the attacks on the mourning processions during this holy month are unbearable for people of every school of thought, and they are condemning these attacks in strongest possible words.
He appealed to the religious scholars and the general public to maintain sectarian harmony and environment of brotherhood. He asked them not to get provoked by any incident to frustrate the evil designs of terrorists.
Mr Hussain sympathized with the grieving families who lost their loved-ones in the blast and prayed for the speedy recovery of the people wounded.
He appealed to President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take serious notice of the blast in DI Khan and bring the perpetrators to book.
