Altaf Hussain expresses his concerns over Additional Interior Secretary statement

Investigate into the matter and try to find out the people who have displayed strong bias against a popular leader of the million people.
The founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that the statements of Additional Secretary Interior Leghari and DG Passports have caused me shock and distress. The Officials asserted that the Ministry of Interior had not received any application for passport or identity card in the meeting of Senate’s Committee on Interior.
“I would like to tell high officials of Interior ministry and federal government that I had applied for a Pakistani Passport on April 4, 2014 in the presence of members of Rabita Committee, MQM’s office bearers and workers. I was told by the Passport Officials at the embassy that I would have to get a NICOP for this purpose. I want to NADRA Office with Pakistan’s Ambassador Wajid Shamshul Hasan, MQM’s office bearers and other supporters. NADRA staff took my photo, fingerprints, filled in the prescribed form and received fee from me. I provided them photo copies of my old Pakistan Passport and Identity card. In addition to these documents, I provided them the documents requested by them. Federal Interior minister can ask Wajid Shamshul Hasan. I have the receipt of the form. My token no is 2 and tracking id is 503601007637. On April 17, Interior Ministry’s spokeswoman confirmed that they have received the application of Altaf Hussain. Now they are saying they have not received my application, “ Mr. Hussain said in a statement released from London.
Mr. Hussain said he had fulfilled all the requirements of NADRA, but he had not received his NICOP card yet. “How can I apply for a passport when I don’t have NICOP card,” Mr. Hussain said.
He said to Pakistan government and the concerned department to stop their discriminatory attitude towards him. He added, “Otherwise, my millions of supporters across the globe can stage protest over this injustice and biased attitude.”

They must show sagacity and investigate into the matter and try to find out the people who have displayed strong bias against a popular leader of the million people. What are their motives and why are they putting loyal Pakistanis in distress?, “ Mr. Hussain
“If I am not Pakistan then no one can claim that he is a Pakistani. No one take away my citizenship right. There are other leaders in Pakistan who were forced into exile like me. Rabita Committee and workers implored me to leave Pakistan after a number of assassination attempts on my life. They urged me to leave Pakistan and guide them from a foreign country. No one deny that did not remain in contact with my workers and supporters during 22 years. I am spending my time for the welfare, security and survival of Pakistan. I am struggling for abolishment of feudal system and want to see my struggle against injustices successful. I want end the culture of corruption from Pakistan. This what MQM has been doing in Pakistan and we will try till our last breath, “ said Altaf Hussain.
Mr. Hussain asked the Interior ministry when would I get my NICOP card. He added that he would consult legal experts to remit the matter to the Supreme Court.
