Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain telephoned Advisor on Interior Mr Rehman Malik and offered condolences on the sad demise of the PPP leader and MNA Ms Fauzia Wahab. He said that she was a bold lady and an asset to the Peoples Party.
Mr Husain said that she was a woman of strong character and defended her party with firm conviction. She used to disarm her opponents with her affable manner and cogent arguments. Her untimely death was a great loss not only for the PPP but also for the democratic forces in the country.
Mr Hussain said that he had much respect for the deceased leader, and he was personally saddened by her death. He also offered condolences to President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Mr Malik said that Ms Wahab was a kindhearted, courageous and a woman of strong determination. She always took everyone along, and her death was a great loss. Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to shower his blessings on the soul of Ms Wahab.
