The workers of Mutahidda Qoumi Movement (MQM) cannot be terrorised by continuing raids and illegal arrests by Rangers and men in plain clothes, said Coordination Committee of MQM in a statement here yesterday while condemning the action by law enforcing agencies.
The arrested workers are not presented before courts of law within mandatory period of 24 hours depriving them of political, democratic and constitutional rights, CC said. According to the statement, men in plain clothes arrested Shaikh Noman, Raheel and Tafazzul Hussain from Nazimabad sector. In another action, Rangers arrested Muhammad Kashif from Baldia Town.
The CC of MQM criticized the LEA for their bais towards MQM and said powers given to them for combating terrorism and Karachi Operation, the same were abused to target MQM, the 2nf biggest political party.
