MQM MNAs demand shifting Qamar Mansoor to a hospital

Qamar Mansoor’s condition is worsening because of torture in custody
MQM MNAs have said that subjecting member of the Co-ordination Committee Qamar Mansoor to inhuman treatment and violence and not admitting him to a hospital is a great injustice.
In a joint statement, the MQM MNAs said that Mr Mansoor was arrested on the 29th night of the holy month of Ramzan in an illegal and unconstitutional action. A conspiracy was now being hatched to implicate him in concocted case after getting a remand of ninety days.
The MNAs said that Mr Mansoor was being continuously tortured in custody due to which his condition had worsened.
They said that Mr Mansoor was arrested during the 90s also and could not recover fully from the torture done at that time.
They said that Mr Mansoor was being harassed for arranging the speech of Mr Altaf Hussain and clapping on it which was illegal and unconstitutional. It was evident from his facial expression when he was presented in the court that he was in great distress.
The MNAs said that not shifting Mr Mansoor to a hospital for medical treatment indicated bias and double standard. They demanded PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Qaim Ali Shah to take notice and order for shifting Mr Mansoor to a hospital for medical treatment.
