A peaceful `day of mourning’ was observed across Sindh, today on appeal of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in protest against the abduction and brutal killing of three of MQM's sympathisers in Malir. Business centres, educational institutes, markets and shops remained closed while transport remains off road in all major cities of the whole province.
Yesterday, the MQM Co-Ordination Committee had appealed to traders and transporters to keep their businesses shut to voice their protest against the recent acts of oppression and barbarism.
