Pakistan shoddy on Kashmir issue: Altaf Hussain

Pakistan shoddy on Kashmir issue: Altaf Hussain
 Posted on: 2/5/2015 1
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that Pakistan’s Kashmir policy was shoddy and weak, and Pakistan could not be able to present its stance on Kashmir effectively on United Nations and other international forums.
Talking to a private TV channel, MQM Chief said that the Indian foreign ministry worked on the issue more effectively than the Pakistani counterpart. He said that nearly one hundred thousand people had sacrificed their lives for Kashmir cause and they still continued their struggle for freedom.
Mr. Hussain said it was unfortunate that various Pakistani leaders maintained Kashmir issue for achieving their personal stakes and the Kashmiris were being deprived of their fundamental rights. He ensured the people of Kashmir that MQM would support Kashmir cause unconditionally and hold up their right to self-determination.
Commenting on the relation with MQM and PPP after targeted-killings of his party workers, MQM Chief said that MQM was not an arch rival of PPP and the differences between two parties were on solid issues. He said that the incumbent government should establish an equal justice system regardless of ethnic, racial and traditional prejudices.
Talking about the local government system Mr. Hussain said that if MQM would be in power, it imposed the local bodies system throughout the country and would conduct election in time. He said that the local bodies system was a denial of obsolete feudal and political hierarchical systems. He also reiterated that MQM demanded to provide equal educational system, to end corruption, appointment on merit and have zero tolerance on terrorism.
