Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Co-ordination Committee strongly condemned the arrests of its workers as they were going to attend “National Solidarity Rally” on Friday held at Tibet Centre Karachi.
In a statement MQM Co-ordination Committee demanded immediate release of its workers Sajan Ali Khokar, Haq Nawaz, Adil Bhutto, Gul Shair, Akbar Shah, Muhammad Saqib, Anis Ahmed Muhammad Shahid, Muhammad Umair and Suhail all were arrested by Police, CID Police from different places when they were on their way to attend the rally at Tibet centre.
Citing a high roof with number plate BCU-2372 which was used by CID police to arrest and take MQM worker Suhail of Society sector to unidentified location, MQM Co-ordination Committee showed its concern over this and said that its workers might not be victimized through torture and killed extra-judicially by Police exactly the way it usually Kills MQM workers after their arrest.
MQM Co-ordination Committee demanded of President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh and Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to take notice of the illegal arrests of workers as their families are in serious anxiety about their security.
