MQM’s voice being suppressed in Punjab: Dr. Khalid Maqbool

MQM’s voice being suppressed in Punjab: Dr. Khalid Maqbool
 Posted on: 11/16/2014
The Deputy Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that since the beginning of membership campaign, some miscreants tried to suppress MQM voice, especially in Punjab and tearing the membership campaign banners in Lahore and Gujranwala, MQM tried to contact Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to the media persons at Gujranwala membership camp, Dr Siddiqui said Sunday is 3rd-Day of membership campaign, and said that a huge number of people, including youth, students, and women enthusiastically participated on the call of MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain. He said that Mr. Hussain’s aim was to equal Pakistan with the developed countries.
Dr Siddiqui said due to prevailing feudal system in the country, educated and talented youth could not be able to reach the parliaments and their fates are decided by hierarchical politicians. He said, MQM founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain never participates in the elections himself nor his family members do.
He said, membership campaign is political process and despite all the personal or individual differences, every political party has right to invite people to join it. He said that people in Punjab had political awareness and maturity and miscreants’ notorious tactics could never demoralize MQM workers and supporters.
