MQM Canada observed the Martyrs Day in all chapters across Canada with huge respect and admiration. A large number of participants attended the prayer assemblies including Central Organizer of MQM Canada Iqbal Qamar, Joint Central Organizers, Members of Central Organizing Committee, Office-bearers, Workers and sympathizers and their family members. Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs for their immortal sacrifices.
Addressing the gathering Central Organizer of MQM Canada Iqbal Qamar said that history of the MQM is incomplete without sacrifices which had been presented by the martyred activist of the party. Following the footsteps of Martyrs of Karbala, MQM activists have never bowed before any oppressive force in past and struggle for truth would continue. He further said we pay tribute to our martyrs and resolve that we would not let the immortal sacrifices rendered by our martyrs to go in vain.
Later a combined prayer was offered for eternal comfort for the martyrs of the movement including MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s elder brother Nasir Hussain, his nephew Arif Hussain and Shaheed-e-Inquilab Dr Imran Farooq.
