Altaf Hussain demands federal, Sindh govt. to resign

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain strongly criticized the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah over their apathy on extra-judicial killing of Dr Farooq Sattar’s Coordinator Aftab Ahmed in Rangers’ custody.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that the PM and CM both seemed unconcerned over the brutal murder and had no right to rule if they did not be bothered for such brutality. He said that the postmortem also unfolded the facts behind his unfortunate death.
He said not only Pakistani media and human rights organizations raised their voices over the brutality of the law enforcement agencies but also international media and organizations showed their concerns over the incident. He said that the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif took notice of the incident but both the governments’ heads did pay any heeds to the issue.
Mr. Hussain said that the federal and provincial governments were responsible to protect people’s lives and properties but they both seemed absolutely failed in their tasks. He said that it was shameful that the country and provincial heads did not bother to say a sentence about the sheer violation of the Constitution.
He demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately resign from their posts as they were proved to be incompetent to their posts. He appealed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take suo moto action against both the governments over such criminal negligence and throw them out of the government.
