The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed grave concerns over the reports of targeting MQM leadership by the terrorists of banned-outfits.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that one of the detained terrorists, Zain Ansari, admitted during the investigation that he had done the Reiki of nominated-mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar. It said the confessional statement unfolded the fact that the jet-black terrorists were continuously targeting the liberal and moderate political party MQM and its leadership.
The Committee said it was decided in the National Action Plan that an operation would be started against the terrorists, extremists and their facilitators but unfortunately it was all happened against innocent workers and leaders of MQM. It said rather providing foolproof security to MQM leadership under the terrorists’ threats the law enforcement agencies registering fake cases against them.
The Coordination Committee demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take immediate action against such terrorists. It also demanded to remove fake cases against innocent MQM workers.
