MQM shows concerns on medicine price hike

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed its grave concerns over the recent price hike in various medicines by the national and multi-national companies.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that the commoners were already suffering with high inflation in food and other daily essentials but even the life saving drugs were out of their reach now. It said that the people mostly received their treatments from government hospitals and they had to buy expensive medicines from the markets.
The Committee demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Provincial Health Minister to take immediate notice against unreasonable price hike in medicine. It said that the concerned authorities should directed the pharmaceutical owners to decrease medicine prices immediately.
