MQM hails SHC decision

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement enthusiastically welcomed the decision of nullification of the law to show the hand during the elections of mayor, deputy mayor and others.
In a statement, the Committee felicitated the people of the province, especially the people of urban Sindh on the decision. It said that the PPP kept trying to device conspiracies to dominate forcefully in Sindh.
The Committee said that on the directions of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Sindh government had conducted Local Bodies’ elections but since then it creating hurdles to impose the LG system in the province. It said that the PPP led government manipulated the people’s rights through sample majority in Provincial Assembly by passing amendments Constitution.
The Coordination Committee requested the Supreme Court to nullify the law to show hands for the elections of mayor, deputy mayor and others. It said that the local bodies should be given appropriate authorities to let them serve the people.
