With regard to #Palestine, the people of #Pakistan have always maintained a principled stance, and they have always supported the struggle of the Palestinians and a Palestinian state. Successive governments of Pakistan, under public pressure, have also kept this stance in view. But did the people of Pakistan ever imagine that the President of the United States,
, and the Prime Minister of #Israel , Netanyahu, would announce a 20-point plan on Gaza which is totally void of a Palestinian state? Did anyone imagine that Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would not only fully endorse that peace accord but would even demand that President Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? Did anyone ever think that the head of Pakistan’s army, Field Marshal, would support this joint U.S.–Israel plan, play a role in its formulation, and still accept a plan in which there is no mention of a Palestinian state? Today, President Donald Trump has issued a new statement declaring that his 20-point peace plan bears the signatures of all countries, including Pakistan. This plan has not been signed by the people of Pakistan, but by Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet, while Field Marshal Asim Munir has called it a positive development. Today, in Pakistan, sweets are being distributed by the government in celebration of this plan. Field Marshal Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Zardari, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and close aides of the Prime Minister, along with leaders of the Muslim League and People’s Party, are congratulating the U.S. President on his 20-point plan, praising him, and appealing that he be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as a torchbearer of peace. What the future holds, only Allah knows best, but I ask this question: how did the fake Prime Minister on Form-47, Shehbaz Sharif, the Foreign Minister, and the Field Marshal support a peace plan that outright denies the establishment of a Palestinian state? How did they call it a positive step? Even if the rulers have accepted it, will the 250 million people of Pakistan accept a plan in which there is absolutely no mention of a Palestinian state? Since the creation of Pakistan, scholars and clerics have always prayed for the freedom of Palestine and #Kashmir in Friday and Eid sermons, and they have always urged the public to support this cause. But today, while genocide of Palestinians is being carried out in Gaza, the so-called peace plan denies the establishment of a Palestinian state. Indian-occupied Kashmir has not been freed, and in fact, in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, Kashmiris demanding their rights are being killed and subjected to state oppression. Yet none of our clerics or muftis has stood up against Trump’s peace plan or the massacre of #Kashmiris. The people must stop praying behind such clerics and free themselves from their grip, and they must not remain dependent on these mullahs to connect with Allah. I tell all my loyal workers that if MQM senior members Nisar Ahmed Panhwar and Anwar Khan Tareen are under arrest, and today you are not allowed to cut my birthday cake, hold gatherings, rallies, or other political activities, still, I say to
workers: never be disheartened, remain steadfast on truth, stand firm, because Allah has commanded that truth shall come and falsehood shall perish. Therefore, with full belief in Allah’s word, continue your struggle. Allah is the best judge, and one day He will surely liberate the oppressed people of Pakistan from tyranny and oppression. I also say to PTI workers: do not lose hope, and continue your struggle.
