Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr Abbas Ali Abdullahi paid a farewell visit to the MQM Head Office Nine Zero and met Deputy Conveners of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar and Senator Mrs Nasrin Jalil. Member of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Kunwar Khalid Yunus was also present on the occasion. Other members of the Iranian delegation included vice consul Mr Hassan Muhammadi, First Consul Mr Sadiqul Amlah, First Consul Mr Syed Muhammad Kazim Abidi, and Commercial Consul Mr Sattar Sultan Shahi.
Political, economic, financial situations of the country and other issues of mutual interests were discussed during the meeting. Mr Abdullahi said that he was taking unforgettable memories of his stay in Pakistan with him. He praised the efforts made by Mr Altaf Hussain and the MQM for promoting sectarian harmony in the country during Muharram.
Dr Sattar said that the MQM is making practical efforts to improve relations with other countries. He appreciated the services of Mr Abdullahi as consul general in Pakistan. Later on, Mr Abdullahi was presented the Pictorial Biography of Mr Altaf Hussain.
