Message on the occasion of Youm-i-Ashur
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the Hazrat Imam Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him) and the people of the House (May Allah be pleased with them) have set an example of patience, perseverance, courage, determination, and selflessness by giving immortal sacrifices. He said that the inimitable example set by them would always act as a beacon of light for the people walking on the path of truth, justice and righteousness.
In his message on the occasion of Youm-i-Ashur, Mr Hussain appealed to the religious scholars to preach sectarian harmony, brotherhood and to work for establishing peace by following the path of Hazrat Imam Hussain (May Allah be pleased with him). He asked them not to get provoked by any incident and to remain calm.
Mr Hussain said that the incident of Karbala gives us the message not to hesitate from giving any sacrifice in the way of truth. The grandson of the Holy Prophet (May Allah be pleased with him) and the People of the House suffered to give their lives, but they did not bow down before the forces of evil.
Mr Hussain said that the true love for Hazrat Imam Hussain and the People of the House requires us that we follow their teachings and golden principles.
He appealed to the religious scholars to maintain unity and brotherhood and keep a watchful eye on the miscreants.
