Elements spilling blood of innocent people are neither Muslims nor human beings: Altaf Hussain

Conspiracies to ignite sectarian violence should be foiled by respecting each other’s religious sensibilities
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has appealed to the followers of different schools of thought and every shade of religious belief to play their role in maintaining religious and sectarian harmony during the month of Muharram. He asked them to thwart the plans of the elements conspiring to provoke sectarian strife by showing unity and tolerance towards each other.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM has been making practical efforts for uniting people of different sects and beliefs on a single platform and this time also the evil conspiracy to inflame sectarian violence would be frustrated by the people by remaining firmly united.
Mr Hussain said that sectarianism was being fanned in order to ignite sectarian violence for deteriorating the law and order situation during the month of Muharram and pushing the country in the fire of sectarian frenzy. He said that the elements behind spilling the blood of innocent people were neither Muslims nor human beings, rather they were open enemies of the country.
Mr Hussain said that it was the obligation of the religious scholars and the adherents of different beliefs to maintain unity and peace and frustrate evil conspiracies aimed to fanning violence. He said that this would be possible if they should respect for each other’s beliefs and religious sensibilities.
Mr Hussain also appealed to the scholars to preach religious tolerance, sectarian harmony and brotherhood in their sermons.
