PPP and President Zardari do not need any other enemy in the presence of the minister threatening worst operation in Karachi: MQM

PPP and President Zardari do not need any other enemy in the presence of the minister threatening worst operation in Karachi: MQM
 Posted on: 11/19/2012
Commenting upon the statement by a federal minister regarding the worst operation in Karachi, members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM Mr Mustafa Azizabadi, Mr Qasim Ali Raza, Mr Muhammad Ashfaque, Mr Muhammad Anwer and Mr Saleem Shahzad had said that President Asif Zardari and the PPP do not need any other enemy in the presence of that federal minister.
In a joint statement, the members of the Co-ordination Committee said that the people of Karachi are well aware about the banned outfits operating in Karachi that are involved in Shia and Sunni people and carrying out bomb blasts. The said federal minister is threatening the citizens of Karachi with an operation instead of mentioning the names of the banned terrorist outfits.
They said it was obvious that the said federal minister is playing someone else’s game. President Asif Zardari may have to say about this minister what the Roman Emperor Julius Caesar had said about his close friend “You too Brutus”. He had to say express similar feelings about another friend of him in the past.
They said that the passage of a resolution in the Senate regarding cleansing Karachi of weapons in spite of the majority of the PPP was full of meaning. They asked if weapons were present in Karachi alone, and the rest of the country was completely free of weapons.
They asked why similar resolutions were not passed for making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province free of weapons where bombing of check posts, mosques, imam bargahs, schools and government buildings were commonplace and where personnel of police, FC and the army were being beheaded in a barbaric manner.
They asked if the PPP members were pursuing the old policy of enmity towards Karachi by passing the resolution to free Karachi of weapons.
