Stern action should be taken against all those found guilty of dereliction of duty
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has asked Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to determine during the inquiry of the Baldia Town tragedy as to why there was no fire exit in the factory. He said that the causes behind the absence of the fire-fighting equipment and other safety measures should also be determined during the inquiry and responsibility should be fixed. He demanded stern action against all those found guilty of dereliction of duty.
He raised these points while talking to the MQM workers and the KKF volunteers at the relief camp set up near the factory where a number of lives had perished in the blaze. He praised the MQM workers, volunteers, MNAs, MPAs for taking part in the relief activities even at the risk of their lives.
He said that serving the humanity was the basic manifesto of the MQM and for MQM politics was nothing but serving the people. He emphasized upon the workers not to get deflected by what others were doing. He asked them to discover the ways and means in which the people could be served.
He offered heartfelt sympathies to the families of the workers who had lost their lives in the blazing inferno in the factory. He prayed Allah to grant the position of martyrdom to the all the deceased workers and give courage and patience to their family members.
He reiterated his appeal to the charitable and philanthropic people to help the poor families. He said that Allah would reward them for their noble act.
