MQM MARTYRED WORKER LAID TO REST WITH HEAVY HEARTS

LONDON: 7th June  2012

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his profound grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of Rais Ahmed Siddiqui, a member of MQM Panjabi Saraiki Organizing Committee. He condoled with the bereaved family and said that he and the workers of the MQM shared their grief equally. He prayed for the divine forgiveness of the departed soul and for courage and patience to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile the Co-ordination Committee also strongly condemned the brutal murder of Rais Ahmed Siddiqui S/o Sami-ullah Siddiqui and said it was a conspiracy against the MQM. The Committee said that the opponents were afraid of the increasing popularity of the MQM and were trying to terrorize the people belonging to different nationalities who had joined MQM.

Rais Ahmed Siddiqui was laid to rest in the Azizabad graveyard.  The funeral prayer was offered in Babar Market Landhi No 3. . Members of Co-ordination Committee, Tauseef Khanzada, Salim Tajik, Wasay Jalil, MQM Leader Aamair Khan, provincial ministers Shaikh Muhammad Afzal (Khalid Umar) , Khalid bin Wilayat, MPA Khalid Iftekhar , members of Karachi Tanzeemi  Committee, office bearers of Landhi and Korangi Sectors and units and the relatives and friend of the Martyred, attended the funeral.  The Co-ordination Committee demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, and Adviser to PM on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the murder of Rais Ahmed Siddiqui and bring the killers to book.
