The Members of Sindh Assembly of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed their grave concerns over the extreme scarcity of water and unannounced loadshedding in Karachi during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a joint statement, the MQM Parliamentarians said that the issues continuously afflicted the innocent habitants of the metropolis. They said that the incumbent federal and provincial governments completely failed to provide the basic necessities to the people and seemed paying no heeds to their sufferings.

They said that Karachi had been paying more than 70 percent of country’s total revenue but deprived of even basic necessities for their lives. They said that such discrimination and hatred could result serious consequences and might harm the national harmony.

They said that the people were unable to perform their religious rituals and could keep their fast accordingly. They strongly condemned the authorities for not providing basic facilities to the innocent civilians. They also demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious action against the culprits involved teasing people.
