Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee has appealed to philanthropists and well-to-do people to donate eatable items of daily use at the camps of Khidmat-e- Khalq Foundation (KKF) set up in different parts of the city for the rain-affected people.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Coordination Committee said that the thousands of families of different parts of the city, including children, women and elderly people, have been facing immense hardships due to flooding of their localities and heavy damages caused to their houses in the recent rains.
Deploring over the plight of the rain-affected people, the Coordination Committee said that since the government has neither taken measures for their rehabilitation nor any relief work was being witnessed, it was incumbent upon the philanthropists and well-to-do people to help provide generous help to the rain-affected people in their hour of trial.
It hoped that the philanthropists and well-to-do people would leave no stone unturned in providing relief to the rain-affected people by donating dried grocery items, lentils, rice, ghee, biscuits, children’s milk, clothes, dry milk, tea, pampers, feeders and other eatable items of daily use at the KKF camps.
