MQM seeks no confrontations with institutions: Altaf Hussain

KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain said his party does never seek clash and confrontation with any institution in the country and asserted that his party will continue to exist; no one can destroy it.
Addressing the party's office-bearers at MQM's headquarters commonly known as Nine Zero, MQM leader said, "We seek better and cordial relations with all institutions, not confrontation," adding all conspiracies being hatched against the party are destined to fizzle out.
"Our forefathers rendered great sacrifices of thousands of lives to carve out this homeland, Pakistan. Accordingly, no wrongdoings or injustices can sever our ties with Pakistan," the MQM founder pointed out firmly.
Altaf underscored that the Mohajirs were evicted from civil service under a conspiracy, adding quota system was imposed in Sindh for ten years in era of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Highlighting the issue, he added, "The quota system was leveraged to close doors of higher education for Mohajirs. The doors of employments were also locked for them. The same quota system exists still today."
He complained no party raised a voice of protest against the massacre of Mohajirs.
Altaf Hussain said that the MQM would organize a two-day gathering at Jinnah Ground on August 13 and 14 to celebrate the festive occasion of Independence Day with fervor.
