MQM announces three days of mourning on the assassination of MPA Sajid Qureshi

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has deplored the brutal assassination of MPA Sajid Qureshi along with his son Waqas Qureshi by armed terrorists in Karachi. Condemning the incidents as a big tragedy the Co-ordination Committee announced to observe three days of mourning throughout the country. The decision was taken in a joint meeting of the committee in London and Pakistan.
The Co-ordination Committee appealed to traders, industrialists, shopkeepers, transporters and people belonging to different spheres of life participate in the day of mourning and suspend business activities and keep transport vehicles off the road on Saturday.
The Co-ordination Committee said that all political and organizational activities of the MQM would remain suspended for three days and black flags would be raised at the party offices. Recitation of the Holy Quran and fateha would be offered for paying tribute to the souls of the martyrs.
The Co-ordination Committee said that MPA Sajid Qureshi had a long affiliation with the MQM and his family had rendered immense sacrifices for the party. The committee said that the MQM had lost a sincere and devoted worker in Sajid Qureshi.
