 Posted on: 5/19/2015
Axact has committed treason if the allegations are true
MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has expressed grief on the revelations of the New York Times. He said that the disclosure by the New York Times that the Pakistani software company Axact has minted millions of dollar by selling fake degrees was shocking.
“Axact has harmed Pakistan and committed treason by such a vicious act if the allegations levelled against it are true and based on facts.”
Mr Hussain demanded PM Nawaz Sharif and the Federal Government to order immediate an immediate inquiry into the scandalous report by the New York Times. “If the allegations are proved true after the inquiry, the higher management involved in such a large-scale fraud should be arrested. Cases should be registered against them under article 6 of the Constitution.”
“Exemplary punishment should be given to the people involved in it so that no one could even think about committing such a monstrous fraud in future.”
Mr Hussain demanded that the names of senior management of Axact should be placed on the Exit Control List, and their passports should be seized.
Mr Hussain regretted that the intelligence agencies in Pakistan were completely in dark about this fraud that should be a cause of great concern for all Pakistani.
